Shopping in Bangkok is a paradise. I like to shop at night at Suan Lum Night Baza because this place is amazing shopping place where you can find everything that you are looking for at exceptional prices. Everything is available here from Thai handicrafts, to trendy clothes, jewelry, shoes, bags. This night bazaar is fairly new and is designed for tourists and local people, and it is the first official night bazaar in Thailand...covering an area of 7 football fields, the market is opened 7 days a week from 3pm to 12midnight and some spots are even opened up to 2am. Shopping here is a great experience if you shopper hunting. The Night Bazaar is a quick taxi ride away from Silom road( central business district),next to Lumpini park. And after that I like to go to eat khao mun gai which is basically chicken on rice around the corner of Pratunam. It comes normal plate, and costs only 25-30 baht. For an extra 5 baht, called "piset" in Thai, you get some extra chicken and that not too bad for a meal. They even give you some cucumber and a bowl of soup. Chinese breakfast rice soup is also another dish I would like to recommend. There is a place around soi sukhumvit 38 that i usually have rice soup as breakfast, and it is added many kinds of food to get more tasteful and nice flavor. Moreover, Brochette which is Japanese restaurant is located next door of my clinic on the 3rd floors of City Resort Building. I take a several steps to get there and most of menu is quite cheap and the chefs cook in front of you. You just pay one meal and soup and vegetables are for free. I get a chance to see Thai boxing once a month. The best place to see the fight is lumphini stadium that is easy to get to- just take the subway station to lumphini and it's right in front of you across the street. Thai boxing is very famous and agressive form of boxing which legally uses both the legs and the hands. It is a very popular sports in Thailand. |
