There are many places for traveling for my holiday but Krabi Province is one of the most my favorite place to visit. Krabi lines on the east coast in southern of Thailand at the shore of Andaman Sea and it is full of outstanding natural beauty, virgin beaches, and wonderful outdoor activities. Krabi has over islands with various outdoor opportunities. Overthere, you find many fabulous activities you never forgot such as eco tourism, drive safaris, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, scruba diving and meeting with remote highland communities. I went back there last month and stay at The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort where there is a serene and unique place on the stunning Krabi coastline. I was a great time while I was there. I ate many kinds of southern flavored spicy curry dishes for examples, gang liang, gang tai pla, and budu sauce at downtown market. Seafood is another best choice for heading south. During the day, I enjoy rock climbing over the limestone cliff that has entire Krabi area. Also hiking is the best highlight especially at Khao Pra-Bang Khram next to the Bang Teao Village. Canoeing is another option for exploration of a chain of rock gardens and semi-Hong's filled with mangroves. Getting there, you have some choices: bus and airplane. Bus actually leaves at night from Bangkok everyday and Airplane offers many flights in each day. When you get there, use the public transportation or hire a car. There is daily ferry crossing between Phi Phi Island and the mainland. The best option is to arrange with local travel agency for your trip. Thing you should not miss, there is colorful local market between Phruksauthit Road and Maharaj Road where every day the stalls are pilled high with all the fresh produce the sea and countryside around Krabi can produce in the early morning everyday. There are also two popular night markets one on Maharaj Soi 8 just around the corner from Thaimit Tours and the other on the river front at Khongkha Road |
